HOW DO I GET ON THE WAIT LIST?
All prospective families are required to attend a public tour before submitting a wait list form. We find it very important for families to visit our Center and learn more about our unique philosophy before placing them on the wait list. We've found that this requirement helps to prevent misconceptions and ensures that our wait list is not unnecessarily long.Once you have attended a tour, you are invited to submit a completed “wait list form” along with the $40 wait list fee. Wait list fees are required once per family and are deducted from your enrollment fee upon enrollment.
DO I HAVE TO RSVP FOR A TOUR?
No. You can just show up.HOW LONG IS THE WAIT LIST?
It is always hard to answer this question. Because of the way we enroll – we create cohorts of children with a 6 month age range – your child will always be waiting for an opening in the same cohort. This means that enrollment offers rely on:
1) the order of names on the wait list
2) your child’s birth date
3) your requested childcare needs
4) your requested start date
5) your noted flexibilityIS THERE ANY WAY TO IMPROVE MY CHANCES?
Keep us updated as your childcare needs change by contacting the school director.HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT TO BE ON THE WAIT LIST?
This is the hardest question to answer. Because we have such a low attrition rate, placement generally depends on the unpredictable withdrawal of an enrolled family.WHAT IF WE NEVER GET PLACED?
You will remain on the wait list until:
1) you are placed
2) you request to be removed from the wait list
3) your child is too old to attend our school.Since there are almost always a few openings in the Preschool, families who are still in need of care by preschool age are usually offered a spot.
WHAT IS THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS?
Once you have received an enrollment offer, the first step is to schedule an interview. The whole family is invited to this 45 minute interview designed to confirm for both parties, that ChildRoots really is the best fit for you and your child. At the conclusion of the interview, a non-refundable enrollment fee of $250, along with a signed copy of the enrollment contract secures your spot. You must then select a start date – within 30 days of your interview. Finally, you will need to attend a mandatory orientation prior to your start date. Your first month’s tuition is due by the orientation date. The whole process takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks depending on available meeting times and other logistics.
